Thermal image of an HVAC register, dispersing cool air in the attic space, due to the duct not being properly fastened to the register. As a result, this caused unseen excess condensation and moisture build up in the attic space. Recommend correction by an HVAC specialist.

A further evaluation revealed missing insulation where the roof truss rested on the top of the wall. Recommend correction by adding additional insulation. Efflorescence is the dissolved salts deposited on the surface of a porous material that are visible after the evaporation of the water. Efflorescence alone does not pose a major problem, but it can be an indication of moisture intrusion, which may compromise the structural material. Recommend a roofing specialist to asses and correct any roof leaks, and a brick layer to re-point the brick veneer however, after roof leak is corrected.
